Pack 444 Cub Scout Uniform Information and Guides

Find detailed information on Cub Scout Pack 444’s uniform requirements and information on how to purchase uniforms and patch placement.

Pack 444 believes the Scout Uniform is an important part of delivering the complete Scouting experience to your child. Wearing uniforms has been a method of the Scouting movement from the beginning.

Decades of experience show that wear the Scout uniform has many benefits including equality, identification, achievement and commitment.

For these reasons, and others, all parents should emphasize to their Scouts the importance of wearing the correct & complete uniform when suitable.

Each Scout will need both a Class A Uniform (this is the official Scout Uniform) and Class B Uniform (Pack T-Shirt).  The Pack provides one Class B T-Shirt per Scout every two years.

The Class A Uniform should always be properly worn and is the main uniform of a Cub Scout. This is what should be worn when participating in any Pack related activities within the community such as selling popcorn or completing service project. This should be worn at all monthly Pack meetings and often is what Scouts choose to wear during weekly Den meeting.

As a Pack, we understand that at times the uniform attire can seem overwhelming and like unchartered water for some.

Therefore, we have put together helpful resources and information guides to help guide you from the ordering of the first uniform into transitioning to the Troop uniform in the final Scouting Year.

If you need extra help, our Pack has a dedicated Uniform Liaison who can assist in answering any questions, help you determine is needed for your Scout and be a resource as questions come up.

Pack 444 Cub Scout Uniform Includes:

–> Navy Blue Bottoms (shorts, pants, skorts/skirts) with Scout Belt

–> Scout Socks (Navy Blue with Yellow Leg Top)

Class A and Class B Uniforms:

Class A uniforms are the standard navy (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos), or tan (Arrow of Light) Scouting America uniform.

Unless specified by the Cubmaster or your Den Leader, Scouts should plan to wear their Class A uniforms to all Pack and Den meetings.

Class B uniforms are the pack supplied T-Shirt. These can be worn for activities such as camp outs, hikes or other physical activities.  Class B’s are acceptable during weekly Den meetings unless Den Leaders advises otherwise.

Class B shirts are expected to last at least 2 years. Additional Class B shirts are available for purchase from the Pack at any time.

Most events on our calendar will outline what the Pack believes is the appropriate attire for that event. If ever in doubt wearing your Class A uniform is always a safe choice.
